Monday
Word Work-
I can read and write words that have vowel consonant e patterns.

Go through and read the Day 1 Blending Board. If you struggle with reading a word, go through, say each sound, and blend the sounds together.
Pick two lines of words to read to a family member fluently.
Reading-
This week we want you to enjoy the stories that you read and apply some of the reading skills you have developed over the course of the year. Please choose a story from Epic, Wonders or your personal library and read it.
Writing/Grammar-
After you have read the story you chose for the day, write a summary about it and be sure to include the following.
Who were the characters in the story?
What was the problem in the story?
How was the problem solved?
Where did the story take place?
I can identify and use demonstrative pronouns and articles correctly in sentences.

Number of the week!!! Each week there will be a new number! Try to show how many ways you can show the number and write a story problem to go with one of your ways to show that number! This week’s number is 95.

Tuesday
Word Work-
I can read and write words that have vowel consonant e patterns.
Read this week’s high frequency words.
Go through and read the Day 2 Blending Board. If you struggle with reading a word, go through, say each sound, and blend the sounds together.
Next, open Day 2 Word Work and sort the words in the correct spots. (You may print out the sort or do it on a separate paper.) As you sort, say the word, say the sounds, spell the word, and then sort the word.
Reading-
Do Istations reading for 20 minutes and choose games to play on Wonders.
Writing/Grammar-
Write a journal entry to your teacher today and email it to them. Tell us about your favorite memory of 2nd grade.

Thursday
Word Work-

Read this week’s high frequency words.
Read Fire! to a stuffed animal or family member. As you read, use your best reading voice and sound out words you may not know. Read the story twice through.
After your second time, get a sheet of paper. You will read the story one more time and list the vowel consonant e pattern words you come across while reading.
Reading- 20 minutes on Istations reading
Writing/Grammar-
Email your teacher about what you would like to do on the summer break. This can be something you are planning to do or something you just really wish you could do.

Friday
Word Work-
I can read and write words that have vowel consonant e patterns.
Read this week’s high frequency words.
Have someone give you a spelling test using Unit 6.2 Spelling. You may use whatever writing utensil you like. (i.e., marker, crayon, pen, pencil) Try your best to spell the words and send your work to your teacher!
Reading-
Read a book aloud to someone in your house. Make sure as you read you use fluency. This doesn’t just mean reading fast. Make sure you notice punctuation and use intonation in your voice as you read.
Writing/Grammar-
Using the summaries from Monday and Wednesday’s reading, make a Venn diagram by drawing two circles that overlap in the middle. Write what is different about the stories in the portion of the circle that doesn’t overlap. The parts of the stories that are similar, write in the portion that overlaps.

Get out of your seat and walk around your house. Pick an item and say a sentence describing the item. Make sure to use the correct pronouns and articles. Find at least 5 items.
Examples:
That banana is brown.
My counter has a brown banana on it.
This mug is empty.
I have an empty mug.
Option: Write down the sentences and underline the demonstrative pronouns and articles. Send your work to your teacher.
Math-
Do 20 minutes on I-Station math.
