Principal's Message
Dear Holliman Families,
EXCITING NEWS!!!
On Monday, December 19, 2022, the Holliman School Improvement Team met to discuss the opportunity to submit a proposal for an innovative space through the 21st Century
Technology and Equipment Fund. The team unanimously agreed that this proposal would be an excellent next step in our efforts to build our capacity to provide equitable STEM/STEAM opportunities to our school community.
Holliman’s newly published Mission and Vision statements below are aligned with the goals of this grant.
Holliman Mission Statement
To foster every students’ academic success and social emotional well being through a culturally relevant educational experience that challenges students’ thinking in innovative and engaging ways. At Holliman, all stakeholders are committed to being forever focused on our vision of a graduate.
Holliman Vision Statement
Holliman is committed to developing deep and flexible thinkers who can engage in collaborative explorations to make meaning of our world from multiple perspectives.
I am happy to announce that our proposal for this brand new 21st century learning space has been accepted and will be FULLY funded with this grant!
Below are the live rendering photos of exactly what our new library/media center will look like! The transformation of this new space will begin soon. We have swing space in an unoccupied classroom where library classes will take place during renovations.
These photos were made possible by our partnership with WB Mason and their design team. They are also on display at Holliman outside of the main office.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cabana, Principal

Survey Works 2023 Updates
We currently have 26 families who have completed the survey!!!
The Rhode Island Department of Education is currently administering its annual SurveyWorks Family Survey, which is an opportunity for family members to provide feedback about our school community and our children’s opportunities to learn.
The survey results are most useful when all families participate! Our goal is to get to 100% participation this year!
Your views on matters like the safety of your child at school, the way students are taught, the condition of the school, and how connected you feel to this school are important. By taking this short survey, you can help our school leadership and school community to make improvements. Responses are anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual; no one can tie your responses back to you.
You can take the short survey online between January 17 and March 31. To take the survey, visit: bit.ly/ridefamily. Choose your school from the dropdown list.
Below is an invitation to an in person meeting to learn more about Survey Works. A virtual option will also be offered immediately following the PTA meeting!
