Meet Mrs. Mrs. Julie Tonkin - New Prek-4 Teacher
I was born and raised in Waco and attended Baylor University. After graduation, I married my high school sweetheart and taught second grade before staying home with my own children for a few years.
Although this is my first year teaching at St. Louis Catholic School, my husband, Derek, and I have been St. Louis parents and supporters for over 10 years. Our son, Brandt is in 8th grade this year, and our daughter, Bella is a 5th grader. Bryce, our oldest child, and a St. Louis Catholic School graduate, is now a junior at Reicher Catholic High School.
The heart of a St. Louis Catholic School education is not merely developing a solid foundation in good academics, but in the formation of the whole child—Faith, Mind, and Body. I am so grateful that I am able to continue my teaching career at St. Louis where students and teachers strive, not only for academic success, but to also grow in holiness together as we develop the gifts that God has given us. I’m so excited to be here and look forward to a year of fun, learning, and adventures in Pre K-4.

St. Louis Alumni Connection Profile - Jason Darling
Jason graduated from St. Louis Catholic School in 1990 and four years later graduated from Reicher Catholic High School. It wasn’t until Jason was enrolled at Baylor University that he decided to go to law school. Jason majored in marketing at Baylor, attended St. Mary’s School of Law, and is now a successful criminal defense attorney and a partner with the lawfirm Moody, Crow and Darling.
To be a successful attorney, one must have integrity, negotiating skills, perseverance, analytical skills, high caliber writing and speaking skills, and, above all, the ability to serve and care about others. “St. Louis Catholic School prepared me for undergraduate school, law school, and the legal profession because it is there where I learned how to think critically. Without a doubt, I learned how to write in Ms. Svrcek’s English class,” Jason said. “I also learned at St. Louis how to communicate with people from all races, backgrounds, and of all ages.”
The duty of a criminal defense attorney is to fight hard for a client, regardless of the outcome. This is exactly what Jason does each and every day. “The teachers at St. Louis taught me how to not only to have respect for myself but have respect for others. I don’t necessarily have to agree with others, but I have to respect their views and opinion is so that they can respect my point of view. In order to effectively do my job and represent my clients, I have to be respectful of them.”
Jason is carrying on the tradition because he knows first hand the value of Catholic education. His wife, Susan Darling, is our Prek-3 teacher, Brinley, his daughter, graduated from St. Louis and is a freshman at Reicher Catholic High, and his son, Jace, is in 7th grade at St. Louis and a football player on our junior high football team.

We want to make you aware of an upcoming changes that may affect your usage of ParentsWeb or the RenWeb Home App.
Four years ago, RenWeb was acquired by another company called FACTS, and on Friday, October 12, they are launching a new website and rebranding the RenWeb company to the FACTS name.
What does this mean for you?
The way you log into your accounts will not change (whether in ParentsWeb or on the RenWeb Home app). Your usernames and passwords will remain the same.
You can still log into the RenWeb Home app, although you may see new colors and logos in the app.
If you currently go to RenWeb.com to access ParentsWeb, you will be able to continue doing so for a time, but you’ll want to start making the switch and logging in at FACTSMgt.com.
There are additional login instructions on the Parent Resources sheet that FACTS provided. It’s available here.
If the name RenWeb is going away, are any other names going away?
Yes, but FACTS is taking a methodical process to the product name changes. The RenWeb Home app will continue to be called the RenWeb Home app. You can search “RenWeb Home” in the App Store or Google Play to find it.
The name ParentsWeb will be changing to FACTS Family Online. However, you will still login using the same credentials at FACTSMgt.com and you will still use it the same way once you’ve logged in. See this sheet for more details.
Thank you for your flexibility and please let Mary Dvorsky at mdvorsky@stlouiswaco.org know if you have any other questions regarding the change.
