- DRA2 Reminders: When administering the DRA2, please find the highest instructionalreading level of the student. If students are not at instructional level on both fluency and comprehension, the level is too high and the next lower level should be administered. Please see me with any questions.
- The EOY window will open May 1 and assessments should take place during the month of May and input into Aware by the last school day in May.
- 5th grade DRA2: Delivered only to those students who score a Tier 3 for their ISIP Overall Reading Ability, students who did not meet standard on the 2015 STAAR Reading test and/or students who are being considered for the SST process. Cap the DRA2 at level 70. The SST may recommend additional assessments beyond the DRA2.
- The pictures below demonstrate how our kinder teachers are using Cluster 7’s Sample Guiding questions as sentence stems to scaffold synthesizing for students. Kinder students were able to take their thinking deeper and give details on why their thinking changed. The students below are sharing how their thinking and responding to how their thinking has changed.
