"Super Miles" Information
Did you know that we have our very own superhero in Hope Valley School? “Super Miles” as he is known to family and friends has bravely fought liver cancer for three years. Miles received a liver transplant in 2017 and has since undergone chemotherapy and other surgeries to battle his cancer. After exhausting all conventional treatments, Miles was recently granted a new clinical trial drug. He is the first child in the world to trial this. He, and his amazing family, could really use the love and support of our Chariho community as he ventures into the unknown. Throughout all of his treatments and hospital stays Miles remains a silly, beautiful boy! His smile melts the hearts of everyone he meets. He teaches us every day about positivity and seeing the good in every moment. Every time Miles has a procedure or is awaiting results, he and his loved ones wear green to show support.
As a district, let’s go the extra mile for Miles and dress in green on Tuesday, November 26!
Use #gogreen4Miles so he can see your pictures!
Miles parents asked that any donations from the day go to The Hasbro Tomorrow Fund, an organization that supports pediatric cancer patients and their families. Envelopes will be at each building if you would like to donate.
Containers will be set up in the hallway across from the main office for your child to drop off any spare change. https://www.tomorrowfund.org/

School dental screening
School dental screening will be held on January 7, 2020
Dear parents/guardians,
State law requires that children in grades K to 4 be screened by a dentist yearly. Please fill out and send back the dental form that will be coming home with your child to verify that your child sees a dentist. Any child who does not have documentation of a dental visit will be screened by the school dentist.
Thank you, Lynn Larned, CSNT
