From the Principal's Desk
Hello DiPietro Families,
Here is the link to the letter that was sent out to all families earlier this week. It outlines the last two weeks of school.
Information I'd Like to Highlight:
If you borrowed a DiPietro Chromebook or iPad: Please see the details below for returning the items. It is imperative that they are returned so the IT department can prepare them for the 2020-2021 school year.
June 16: On this day, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm; please come to the school to retrieve your child's belongings. We will be giving you not only what was in the classroom, but also artwork. PLEASE RETURN book bags, teacher belongings, and library books. If you feel comfortable, please bring your DiPietro child so the staff that is there to give out belongings can provide some closure to the year by saying hi to your child and wishing them a great summer.
Step-Up Day for Grade 3 Update: On June 18th, you will have access to your child's report card. Your child's teacher for the 2020-2021 will be shared towards the end of the teacher's comments. That same day, either Mr. Cutler, or I, will be sharing google classroom link, in an email, for you to then visit. There you will find a link where your child can "virtually" meet their teacher.
Title 1 Survey: If you have not done so already, please complete this Title 1 Survey ASAP. We need this to be completed in order to maintain our funding as well as to make improvements to our program based on what you share with us.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Your principal,
Miriam Friedman
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BORROWED TECHNOLOGY IS TO BE RETURNED TO THE BELLINGHAM HIGH SCHOOL.
Here are the details for returning the district's devices:

Our team will collect device; power on the device, inspect for damage, ensure we have a power adapter, sanitize, and set aside for appropriate building delivery. We will be prepared with power strips in case the device is not charged.
We will have a checklist prepared with the borrower's name including an insurance option (if needed).
Users will receive a receipt confirming acceptable return or they will receive a form indicating how much they will be charged to replace the adapter and or/device that is damaged.
**Students that utilize a school-issued iPad or Chromebook for special education services may keep that device over the summer. Information regarding the special education Extended School Year Program for summer 2020 will be provided by the end of next week.
