Lenape Students at the Regional Science Fair

Congratulations to Lenape Science Students

After the local science fair at Del Val College 3 weeks ago, 16 Lenape students were awarded first, second, or third place in their categories and were invited to the regional science fair. Last week, these students attended the regional fair, the Delaware Valley Science Fair competition. Of the 16 students attending, 6 won an award for their science fair project out of over 1,000 total entries!

Congratulations to 8th graders: Dario C. for winning a category & special award for his project on peripheral vision, Lauren K. for winning a category & special award for her project on childproof medicine containers, and Ian K. for winning a category award for his project on force hacking.

Congratulations to our freshmen: Tori G. for winning a category award for her project on artificial sweeteners, Danny G. for winning 2 special awards for his project on biodiesel fuel, and Sreeram V. for winning a category award for his project on Group Theory Mathematics.

All students who made it to this level of the science fair this year should be very proud of what they accomplished. The competition was tough with the highest number of entries ever. Our science teachers are very proud of them and can't wait to see how they continue doing science in their high school and college careers. Congratulations!
