Happy New Year!
As always we hope that you are all staying safe and healthy. The New Year is sure to bring us many blessings. As we reflect on the year 2020, we are reminded of the tremendous support and patience you have all given while we embarked upon learning how to teach and provide an education to your children during a pandemic. We are immensely grateful, that although different, we were still given the time and resources to be a part of your child's educational journey.
In December, our school participated in many Advent celebrations. Classrooms continued with our tradition of creating tree ornaments to decorate our St. Henry's Sr Christmas tree, and many students participated in our Spirit Week activities, dressing up and and donning great festive attire. Our school was able to collect donations to prepare Blessing Bags for our local foodbank. Each classroom donated an essential item like shampoo, conditioner or body wash, and our grade 9 Student Leadership students assembled the bags. Also, many students created beautiful cards for the initiative Spreading the Love this Christmas, organized by CMHA- Melville Branch. It was so nice to be able to prepare and participate in all these events.
Our school was also very fortunate to receive a generous donation from our local Home Hardware, owned and operated by the Appel family. This donation allowed our school to provide grocery gift cards and items to some residents within our community. We are so very blessed and grateful to have had the opportunity to help support our students and their families during the Christmas season.
Thank you!
Wishing you all many Blessings throughout the year!
