Who Jesus Is To Me
Peter responded to Jesus' question that he is the Messiah. Jesus is the Messiah, but he is also many more things to and possibly different things to different people. To me, Jesus is everything God wants us to be. He is good, he is kind, he is forgiving, he is loving, and he is human. These traits, and many more are traits that Jesus held and are traits that all of God's messages have taught us to hold. Jesus was born without sin, to be an example to us; to be a role model. He has helped God to lead us to strive to be children of God. As Catholics, we are blessed to have been sent Jesus for our role model. The stories in the New Testament that we read and the lessons that we are taught and even the mistakes we make all turn our eyes to Jesus; learning from his very example. To me, Jesus is the truly the perfect role model, because no matter what situation I come to, I can undoubtedly say that if I turn to Jesus and follow his example, it will always be the right thing to do.
Outstretched Hands
Acts 20:35
"In every way I have shown you that by hard work of that sort we must help the weak, and keep in mind the words of the Lord Jesus who himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'"
Psalms 138:7-8
"You stretch out your hand; your right hand saves me. The Lord is with me to the end. Lord, your mercy endures forever. Never forsake the work of your hands!"
