What We're Working On

December was here and gone before I knew it. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a relaxing break! Our themes for December were: gingerbread men, reindeer, and Christmas. We learned some facts about reindeer, did some art projects, and worked on essential elements.

  • Mobile dentist came at the beginning of December

  • We watched a movie with the elementary department

Essential Elements:

The essential elements we will be working on in January include: personal point of view in a story, narrators, fractions.

We will also be working on reading simple stories/books, identifying sight words, working on their own individual goals and art projects.

* Please continue to send in appropriate winter clothing. We will continue to go outside unless it is too cold.

Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Independent

This is our school-wide behavior theme. Students will earn "Bee Bucks" if they display the above behaviors. Their name is then put into a drawing to win "Bee of the Week."

In December our class earned 44 Bee Bucks! Way to go!!

Box Tops

Just a reminder that we are collecting Box Tops for our school. This helps fund activities that we want to do with our students. All the Box Tops we collect goes directly to the elementary department. If you have extra, please send them in a plastic bag. Thanks!

Additional Info

Please send in a spare change of clothes for your child that we can keep here or in their bag.

Weekly work will come home on Fridays in their binder. Please send the binders back to school on Monday.

We are working on their goals every day. Please don't hesitate to call, email or write us with concerns or good things that happen at home. Communication is the best way for us to stay informed as well as keep you informed.
