NURSE RODEN'S NOTES
Any OTC (over the counter) medication must be turned in to the office. This includes cough drops, antacids, eye drops, etc.
SNACK TIMES
Morning- after outclass
PLEASE send only dry, healthy snacks and water for these times.
BEHAVIOR PROCESS
We prefer to encourage good behavior, but if a student's behavior is such that it becomes a habit or distraction from instruction, we have a plan for handling these issues.
1st offense-Student will receive a verbal warning
2nd offense-student must record offense in the teacher's behavior book
3rd offense-student will lose recess privledges or have lunch isolation.
More serious offenses will be handled on individual basis.
WHEN TECHNOLOGY IS APPROPRIATE
We love technology and want the students to bring their own if they have it. However, we want them to be focused on instruction and not distracted by their devices. Students will be allowed to use their technology device under supervision. This means that students will be allowed to use it during indoor recess and other designated times, but not during lunch or outdoor recess.
Violations of these guidelines will result in teacher taking it up until the end of the day for the first offense and sending it to the office for the second offense.
