NEW YORK

INTRODUCTION

New York is in the north/east of the United States. It is a big city. It's got approximately sixteen million four thousand inhabitants.

WEATHER AND CLIMATE

The climate in New York is oceanic.In winter it is very cold and it is usualy cool in summer.

HISTORY

New York is a modern city. It was founded in the 17 century. It has lots of monuments and thiks to see. New York is famous for the Statue of Liberty. It is also famous for its Central Park.

In New York

- You can see Times Sqare it is beautifuly lit up on Christmas.

- You can also find the moma museum it is very interesting.


So far, New York sounds like a great place to live and work, The majestic Statue of Liberty is one of New York’s many famous attractions. Since 1886, Lady Liberty has greeted immigrants from all over the world, hoping to start a new and better life in America. Construction of the statue was started in 1875 and completed in 1886. The Statue of Liberty was a gift from France, and was shipped to the U.S.A in 350 pieces!

LEISURE AND ENTERTAINMENT

There are many things to do in New York. You can go shopping there is a very famous street that is called 5ª avenue. You can also sigthsee, there are a lot of very old monuments you can visit them in a very specia red bus with two floors .

INDUSTRY

In New York, there are tons of businesses and industries. Did you know that New York publishes more books, magazines, and newspapers than any other state in the nation? New York also happens to be the nation’s center for women’s fashion! Four out of five New Yorkers work at service companies, such as health care workers, teachers, or actors, but the most popular work is financial jobs and banking. In New York, banking and the financial industry are very important and get the most pay. In fact, New York is the nation’s capital for financial services! One other job I forgot to mention is mining. Stone, zinc, and salt are all mined in the state. Mining may not be a major industry, but mining brings in one million dollars for the state each year! So, as you probably can tell, there are lots of businesses and industries, and all are important to the state in their own way. As far as I can tell, every job in New York would be a good one!.

PERSONAL OPINION AND RECOMENDATION

I think New York is a wonderful place.It has a lot of different people and places so you can never get bored.
