SFCS celebrates 26 Years of Growing Together in Faith & Knowledge
Dear SFCS Parents & Friends,
We have officially sprung forward! It is so hard to believe we only have 49-1/2 school days left in this academic year, but time marches on and we continue to prepare for many academic, spiritual, and athletic activities. Soon, we will be preparing for the end of year activities honoring our 8th grade class.
This past week I participated in a 3-day retreat for all the Diocesan principals. It was a wonderful time of spiritual growth, fellowship, and learning. Since this year's retreat was hosted on the Island, we were able to have a special Mass for the principals at St. Francis By the Sea Catholic Church, celebrated by Fr. Mike Oenbrink. Mrs. Sweeney organized a wonderful group of students to sing, and beautifully they did! Thank you to all the students who volunteered to be a part of this special Mass, and to the parents who encouraged and supported the students to participate in the choir, and serve during the Mass. These young people showcased our school so well. The principals were very impressed and complimented the students over and over. I am extremely proud of them too!
On Friday night the Middle School had their annual dance. What a wonderful time the students had! It was amazing to see the students come together and dance like no one was watching. Scroll down to see photos of this fun event.
As a reminder, this Friday, March 17, is an early dismissal day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:30 a.m. No lunch or aftercare. Also, our third quarter is ending this Friday. Report cards will be available during the week of March 20. Please mark your calendars for the 3Q Awards Presentation which will be held on Friday, March 31, at 2:00 p.m. Parents, family, and friends are invited to attend.
Wishing you a peace-filled week of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.
Blessings,
Andrea
