Principal Message
Dear Lane Families,
This past week I had the privilege to join our 7th and 8th graders in Washington DC. Not only did our families do an excellent job planning, but our students represented West Allis well. Throughout the week, the group was complimented on their polite behavior, their promptness to time, and their adaptability to change.
Being a principal, I have a lot of thankful moments and this week will be a lasting memory. Our students met Tammy Baldwin, toured our National Monuments, and participated in the wreath ceremony at the Arlington Cemetery.

Fall Conferences
We are looking forward to seeing everyone attend our fall conferences. We encourage your son/daughter to join as well to share their successes at Lane.
Lane conferences are Oct 9th and 18th from 4:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Conferences will be held in the cafeteria and the auxiliary gym. Please, enter via the cafe door. We will have Forward Exam results available for pick up and a station to help access Skyward if needed.
When meeting with staff, please be mindful of others waiting and try to keep the conference to five minutes with each teacher. Feel free to set up a phone conversation or an additional appointment if needed. The goal of the conference is to check on progress and make a connection with our staff.
