SMART Start - May 11, 2016 - Tech Savvy Stuff

We will meet in the band room at 7:35 am and meet as a K-8 group first. Our tech savvy leader will help us continue on our journey. Thanks, Cameron! Cameron is working on answers to your questions about next year with the tech team. As we get direction, we will share with you. The Strategic Tech Team continues to meet and discuss important topics so our transition to 1:1 is organized and smooth. Thanks for embracing this initiative!

Author Day - David Slonim - May 11 - K-5 @ 2:00 pm - Big Gym

David Slonim is the author-illustrator of He Came with the Couch, a 2006 Bright Horizons Top Three Books of the Year selection, and Oh, Ducky. He has illustrated more than fifteen other books, including Moishe’s Miracle by Laura Krauss Melmed, which was named one of the top ten children’s books of 2000 by The New York Times. He lives in Indiana with his wife and their four children.

ISTEP+ is Done!

On to NWEA....keep Mrs. Kaiser posted on your class growth and individual student growth with NWEA. Data discussions to follow! We will use the Spring NWEA data to make decisions in August then we will make changes as needed at the end of September.

Kindergarten Countdown - IREAD3 - Literacy Camp

We will have three summer school classes this summer depending on enrollment.

Kindergarten Countdown is for incoming Kinder Kids that haven't been to preschool.

IREAD3 tutoring will be for our third graders that did not have an a good cause exemption.

Literacy Camp - we are seeking out incoming K-1 students for this class.

The Lakeland Nursing home asked if we would partner with them and have a food drive for Harvest with a Heart. We will bring you flyers and a basket to collect canned and boxed items. The classroom with the largest weight of food will win an ice cream party sponsored by Lakeland. May 9-20.
