Why is it important to lable animals in the red list?

Labeling animals in the red list is really important. This allows scientists, biologists and people in general to see the danger that this animals are going through. The red list points out which animals are in most need of our help.

Categories


Least Concern: species that do not qualify as threatened or near threatened. It is not a concern.

Near Threatened: species that may be threatened with an extinction near the future

Vulnerable:specie likely to become endngered

Endangered:species that are likely to become extinct

Critically Endangered: Specie with a high risk of extinction

Extinct in the wild: Specie that it´s only living members are in captivity. They no longer exist in the wild.

Extinct: A specie that is no more alive in the world
