Remote Learning Update
We have our first week of formal Remote Learning under our belts. This has been a learning curve for our teachers. I can imagine that there have been some challenges and frustrations in your households this week as well, as we adjust to our current "normal". Please keep in mind that our goal is to address those skills that are the most critical for moving forward into next year.
If you or your child are struggling to complete the work, please reach out to your teachers. Teachers are available via email as well as during their Office Hours. Teachers will be happy to work with you to insure that your child is getting the support that they need to be successful.
Learning Packets Verses Online Assignments
Learning Packets verses Online Assignments - There has been some confusion with this.
You student(s) should either complete a learning packet OR do the onling assignments via Google Classroom. They should not do both because the assignments are the same.
And, they should not switch between the two. If they start on learning packets, they need to continue with packets for the remainder of the year. If they start on Google Classroom, they should continue with Google Classroom for the remainder of the year.
If you have internet access and need a device, please email your teacher and let them know.
I hope this helps clarify some confusion.

Kids Read Now
This summer Coloma Community Schools will be participating in the Kids Read Now program. This program, which is no cost to you, will provide your student(s) with a minimum of six books this summer!
The program is relatively simple. You will pick your books and the Kids Read Now program will ship them to your house this summer. Attached is the summer reading wish list. Sit down with your students and select nine books they would like to read this summer and select them. Each week, your student will receive a book that they are expected to read. When they finish, there are a few questions to discuss with the student. Then you report the code and the next books will be sent to your student.
More directions will be coming to you from Kids Read Now soon, but if you would like to get a head start on selecting books for your child this summer, please use this link and enter either your email or phone number that are associated with your PowerSchool account.
