Rebecca Clarke | Principal

Dear parent and caregivers,

This week I spent three days at CEWA with Bishop Gerard Holohan working on our school Faith Formation Plan. It was a thought provoking three days working alongside Mrs Fernandez and Mrs Curtis as we planned how we can make our Catholic faith visible around the school and relatable to our staff, students and school community.

Thank you to our school community for all the suggestions that have been made to ‘Name our Factions’. I will now sit down and go through all of them all and make some tough decisions.

On Thursday, a very excited Year Three group headed off on their excursion to Optus Stadium. Walking across Matagarup Bridge, going into the West Coast Eagles and Dockers change-rooms and touching the actual grass at Optus Stadium were some of the many highlights of their day. A very big thank you to Miss Baxter for organising this wonderful experience for her students and to Mrs Burgess and the parent helpers that assisted her on the day.

Today, I waved off our first group of students representing St Elizabeth’s at the Interschool Cross Country at Hillary’s. I’m not sure who was more excited … the students or Mrs Clarkson! Thank you to Mrs Collova and Mr van der Walt for assisting for the day. I’m very proud that we can be part of this event and thank Mrs Clarkson for making this happen.

Semester One Reports have been finalised and will be made available via SEQTA Engage to parents on Thursday, June 30. Please see the letter below highlighting some important information for all parents in Year 1 to 6 regarding understanding the Semester Reports.

Finally, next week we will bid farewell to Mrs Caitlyn Irwin as she begins her maternity leave for the remainder of the school year. As a school community we wish her all the best and cannot wait to meet the new arrival! Please make Mrs Emma Tie welcome as she joins our school community while Mrs Irwin is on maternity leave.

Next week is a busy one for everyone … see you all on Wednesday afternoon for our Open Classrooms!

Have a wonderful weekend.

God bless

Rebecca Clarke

Is your child on a waiting list to see a Paediatrician?

A new private Paediatric clinic has opened in Currambine and they are taking on new patients. You can submit your GP referral on the website (click below) or call 6388 4422 for more information. This could be a good opportunity for families waiting for an appointment.

Our school has no association or affiliation with this clinic. We noted the opening of this service and thought it might an option for families to investigate if they are on long waitlists to see specialists.
