Warrior Family News Update
One School, One Goal - Summer 2021
Welcome to the 2021-22 School Year!
Warrior Families!
Welcome to the 2021-22 school year! I am thrilled and honored to work with you all this year as Principal of McHenry High School. For those I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting, I offer you a little about myself:
My wife and I live here in McHenry, near McHenry Middle School. We have 8 children (four biological, four adopted), 3 of whom have graduated from MCHS. The four younger ones all attend schools in D15 (MMS, Duker, & Hilltop). For the last four years, I have been principal of East Campus, and I can't tell you how excited and humbled I am to be able to lead alongside you as we usher our district into this new era.
As we open this year, we will see all of our 9th graders enter the bright, clean, exciting atmosphere that is the Freshman Campus! Complete with new flooring and new lockers this summer, and recently having gone through an entirely renovated HVAC and lighting upgrade, the Freshman Campus will provide a first year high school experience like no other. Mrs. Kyle Hobson, the Associate Principal of the Freshman Campus, along with Mr. Pete Byrne (Dean of Students) and their team of dedicated freshman teachers and staff, are ready to welcome you and take of all of your needs this year as you send your 9th graders to high school.
In addition, as most of you know, the Upper Campus will house all of the district's 10th - 12th graders, and boasts of the brand new, state-of-the-art Center for Science, Technology and Industry, as well as new spaces for Art, Chorus, and a Career & Counseling Wing.
Our administrative team here at the Upper Campus is comprised of Mr. Terry Fitzgibbons (Associate Principal of Buildings, Grounds and Operations), Mr. Greg Eiserman (Assistant Principal of Student Life), Mrs. Patrice Frederick (Assistant Principal of Student Services), Ms. Hilary Agnello (Dean of Students), and Mr. Jordan Deener (Dean of Students).
The start of school related to COVID-19 is ever-changing, and as we await additional guidance from the IDPH and the MCDH, we will get that out to our school community just as quickly as we can.
We cannot wait to kick off this new era for McHenry High School, and look forward to serving you! If there is ever anything we can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Yours,
Jeff Prickett, Ed.D.
Principal, McHenry High School
