OLSAT Assessment results, physical copies, will go home with students (they will not be emailed) on FRIDAY, April 21st. Please check backpacks on Friday for the OLSAT parent letter with information.

Kindergarten Registration is OPEN. If you have a student that is eligible for kindergarten for the 23-24 school year, please register your students. Kindergarten Visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 1st at 10:00-11:00 and 1:30-2:30. When you register you will sign up for a visitation time. On visitation day, parents will learn about kindergarten and the students will visit a kindergarten classroom. Please click this link to register.

RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION OPENS on Monday, April 24th.

Student Placement for 2023-2024 will take place in May. Parents can assist in the process by completing a Student Placement Form 23-24 Parent input about their child’s academic experiences can provide valuable insight to this process. Parents should not use this form to recommend a specific classroom teacher. If you are interested in filling out the form (this is NOT mandatory), please complete by May 5.

We are excited to announce that our new online fee payment system is now My School Bucks (MSB)

MSB is not live at the time of this notice, but invoicing for the 2023-2024 school year will take place sometime in May and payments are due in FULL by September 1, 2023. You will receive an email from MSB when the registration fee is applied to your student(s) account(s). If you think you would qualify for a fee waiver for 2023-2024 school year, complete this form and return it to the Business Office by September 1, 2023.

MSB is a user-friendly online payment system with a single sign on. You will be able to create an account, add your student(s) and see ALL of your students in that one account.

Westfield Families: Along with the registration fee, incoming 8th grade students will have their graduation fee applied to their account to be paid at the beginning of the school year. Sixth grade students will have their lock fee applied to their account to be paid at the beginning of the school year.

We will communicate with you when we get closer to applying the fees.

SPRING OPEN HOUSE (previously called Portfolio Night): Thursday, May 25 from 5:30-7:00

LAST DAY of SCHOOL: June 8th (as long as we don't use snow days or cold weather days). If we use a cold day/snow day the last day is extended a day. So this date will be finalized after we get through the winter.

PTO EVENTS

• Our next PTO meeting is May 10, 2023 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Erickson Library. This is open to all Erickson parents and we would love to see you there!

• Teacher Appreciation week is May 8-May 12th. More info to come on how we are celebrating our Erickson Elementary Staff!

• Our next dine out is at Raising Cane on May 25, 2023 from 4pm-10pm and 15% of all sales will be donated to Erickson PTO. Come out and support the school before or after Erickson’s Spring Open House at the school.

Please take the time to review the Erickson Family Handbook. Each class will meet with Mrs. Frattinger and myself to discuss school rules and procedures. Ask your student how to SOAR in the hallways, in the classroom, on the bus and during recess.

The first full day of school is Thursday August 25th, for students in first - fifth grade. Kindergarten & Preschool students start school on Monday, August 29th. Students may arrive between 8:25-8:40. Classes begin at 8:40.

School Hours:

Grades 1st-5th: 8:40-3:30

Kindergarten AM: 8:40-11:30

Kindergarten PM: 12:40-3:30

Preschool AM: 8:50-11:20

Preschool PM: 12:50-3:20

Lunch Hours:

1st, 2nd & 3rd Grade Lunch: 12:00-12:25

4th-5th Grade Lunch: 12:25-12:50

Dropping off lunches from restaurants (ie- McDonald's, Wendy's, Panera, etc.) as well as using food delivery services to drop off food (ie -GrubHub, Door Dash) is not allowed. Students should bring their lunch in the morning to school each day. Safety is our number one priority and we would like to limit visitors.

Arrival & Dismissal Procedures: Click here to learn about arrival and dismissal procedures for the 2022-2023 school year. Families should utilize the side parking lot for pick-up and drop-off. The front parking lot is designated for buses only. Morning arrival is between 8:25am-8:40am. Staff begin to supervise students at 8:25 am. Grades K and 4-5 will enter through the front doors. Grades 1-3 will enter through the side of the building. Students will begin to enter the school at 8:35 and go directly to their classrooms. School beings at 8:40.

If you are interested in ordering another Pillar Shirt, please fill out this PILLAR SHIRT ORDER FORM and send $10 in a marked envelope "PILLAR SHIRT" with your child. A new Pillar Shirt will be delivered to your child once the money is received. Please fill out one form per child.
