COMING FROM THE WEST ON IH 20
Coming from the west go east on IH 20 to exit 307 which is Hwy 283 (the Baird exit).
Go south on Hwy 283 for about 12 miles. You will have a stop sign where Hwy 283 intersects Hwy 36. Turn left (east) onto Hwy 36. Drive about 16 miles on Hwy 36 to Cross Plains. At the light (Produce Stand on your left, Dairy Queen across the street). Turn right there on Hwy 206/279 (south). There is a fork in the road about 1 or 2 miles down. Be sure to bear left at the fork to stay on 279.
Stay on Hwy 279 for about 17 miles to Park Road 15. (There is a big Water Tower and a Cellular Tower right there at the corner. Also, there is a liquor store on the left called Parkway Drive In. Turn left (east) there and continue down Park Road 15 for 4 miles to County Road 455. (At 3.5 miles you will pass the old Bostick’s Store and Jack’s Place (big Happy Face) on County Road 2559. Keep going past that for another ½ mile) At CR 455 you will see a sign that says Nichols Ranch. Turn left (north) there. You will see lots of horses on your right as you are driving down 455.
Follow CR 455 for approximately 2 miles. Just a fun fact and landmark, approximately a mile down you will see a big house on the hill and a gate that is the “Largest Spur in the World.” (at least the largest we have seen. It is certainly larger than the world’s largest wheel barrow). Keep going on CR 455 until it dead ends. You will see a group of dumpsters and mail boxes in front of you. Turn left (north) onto County Road 454.
The road will wind around for about ½ mile and our house is on the right. (Third or fourth house on the right) There is a big barn on the right and a car port/circular drive in front of the house. There is a sign out front that says Overman Lane.
You have arrived !
