Dear Parents,

I wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible experience of the Rose Multicultural Night that occurred last Friday night. Students, staff, and families celebrated their cultures and talents during the PTO sponsored event last weekend. It was wonderful to see so many participants share their heritage and teach others about traditional celebrations, holidays, country features, famous people, artwork, and cuisine. The student talent show was also a highlight from the event; we had so many participants that graced the stage with enthusiasm, confidence, and incredible talent. I want to thank the PTO for sponsoring this special event for our school community and I look forward to future events that afford us the opportunity to celebrate our diverse Rose community.

  • You're Invited: Framework 220 Coffee & Conversation

As Barrington 220 moves forward in its strategic planning process, Framework 220, the district is seeking more of your feedback to develop its mission, vision, strategic priorities and learner profile.

Barrington 220 will be holding eight "Framework 220 Coffee & Conversations." At these meetings, community members will be able to learn more about the work that has been done so far in the process and provide feedback. All community members are welcome to attend. Click here to view dates/times and to RSVP.

  • Congratulations to Peter Panagakis on the birth of his daughter, Aggeliki. We are so excited for Peter and his family!

  • Temperature Change: The temperatures rose faster than our system could keep up with this week. Although we did not have air conditioning in all parts of the building early this week, our system is up and running properly at this point. I would suggest students dress in layers as building room temperatures can fluctuate throughout the day.

  • COVID Dashboard: We have 16 positive student COVID cases reported at Rose School this week and 3 students in quarantine. We have 1 positive staff case to report. If you have additional questions about positive cases and quarantines, you can also check the district COVID Dashboard for up-to-date district COVID information.

    • Per new school guidelines, District 220 is now accepting negative home covid test results for certain symptoms. Please review the most up-to-date IDPH guidance here.
