Project Based Learning during Interest Areas
Grocery Store ~ Mrs. James
Mrs. Goin ~ Dramatic Play
Mrs. Goin's PreK students brainstormed different ideas using a quality tool to see what type of store they wanted to create. After deciding on a restaurant, they created jobs, a job chart for students to place their pictures on, and materials to use with ease without staff needed to guide them through play. Students integrated all developmental standards through the development of the pizza shoppe and extended that learning through play in a developmentally appropriate way!
Mrs. Dakin's Block Area
Students in Miss Dakin's PreK room worked to build a teepee modeled from a book by working collaboratively with the resources and using trial and error. Miss Dakin used high level questioning to expand mathematical skills with students in the block area!
