Picture Retake Day Monday Oct. 28th
Recognizing Positive Behavior - The Power of Attention means "What we focus on we get more of"
Tabitha - Mrs. Alexander recognized Tabitha for positive behavior. Tabitha's positive attitude, thoughtfulness, and kind actions towards others are a definite bright spot in the classroom!
Airiana - Mrs. Nitz recognized Airiana for positive behavior. Airiana is always such a great role model for her peers. I can count on her to be listening, on task and working hard.
Mrs. Drake's Class - Mrs. Drake recognized her class for positive behavior. Mrs. Drake stated, "Our school family members showed outstanding character when they pulled together to support a classmate who was struggling to feel worth and belonging. They demonstrated maturity by being respectful and attentive of her feelings, stayed focused on helping the situation, and offered words of kindness and comfort until our family was whole again."
Grace - Mrs. Goettl recognized Grace for positive behavior. Grace took the time help clean up paper towel that was left on the hallway floor.
Anna - Mrs. Hanson recognized Anna for positive behavior. Anna is a great role model to her peers. She is also a wonderful helper.
Keegan - Mrs. Hanson recognized Keegan for positive behavior. Keegan goes out of his way to be kind to those around him. He is a great role model.
Timmy - Mrs. McVey recognized Timmy for positive behavior. Timmy has made a great effort to try his best in reading and writing.
Sofia - Mrs. Lien recognized Sofia for positive behavior. Sophia has been very kind and helpful to a injured classmate. She invites him to sit by her and makes sure he has all of his supplies.
Megan - Mrs. Balko recognized Megan for positive behavior. Megan is an exceptional student. She always strives to do her best in everything she does.
Ryan - Mr. Holtz recognized Ryan for positive behavior. Ryan has been doing a great job setting goals in the classroom and uses optimistic thinking to achieve them.
Rylan - Ms. McVey recognized Rylan for positive behavior. Rylan is a responsible member of our school family. He volunteered to wash the tables in the lunch room. This was very helpful to Mr. Kohls
Leo - Mrs. McVey recognized Leo for positive behavior. Leo is a hard working and compassionate friend. He spent a lot of his own time helping other students find the correct program and get logged into their accounts. He is always helpful to others.
Trey & Abigail - Mrs. Matherne recognized Trey and Abigail for positive behavior. They both work hard to show kindness every day. If a classmate needs help, they are the first students to offer help.
Adrian - Mrs. Goettl recognized Adrian for positive behavior. Adrian noticed the kindergarten classes returning from a field trip and stopped to hold the door for all of the students carrying their pumpkins.
Andy - Mrs. Alexander recognized Andy for positive behavior. Andy has shown a tremendous amount of kindness in class, and understands how to be empathetic towards others.
Awesome job choosing kind behavior and going above and beyond.

Veteran's Day Program
The Cadott Community School District would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our Veterans for their service to our country and for protecting our freedom. All Veterans and members of the Women’s Auxiliary are invited to a Veterans’ Day Program held at Cadott Jr/Sr High School on Monday, November 11 th at 10:00 AM. Coffee and refreshments will be served to Veterans and Auxiliary Members prior to the program, beginning at 9:30 am in the high school gym.
After the program, all Veterans and Auxiliary Members are invited to stay and eat lunch
with our students at the high school. If you plan on eating lunch please RSVP to Rhonda
Pederson by Friday, November 1st at (715) 289-3795, ext. 4500. We look forward to celebrating
with you!

4K-4th Grade Youth Basketball Skills Development
Cost: FREE!!!
Who: Any Boy 4K-4th Grade (4K must have an adult accompany and participate with child)
When: 3 Sundays a month November-February
Dates:
- November: 3, 10, 17
- December: 1, 8, 15
- January: 5, 12, 19
- February: 2, 9, 16
Time: 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. on Sundays
Where: Cadott Elementary Gym
Special: 3rd-4th Grade Boys will have opportunities to play during Varsity half-times.
Attention 6th grade students interested in joining junior wrestling!
Wrestling practice starts on November 18, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the high school wrestling room for student athletes who are in grades 6-12.
If your child is in 6th grade please send a note allowing your child to walk to the high school after school. Your child will also need to have an up-to-date physical and all required paperwork turned into the high school office before being allowed to participate. Student athletes are also required to take a Concussion Impact Test before practicing. Please follow the Cadott Hornets Wrestling Facebook page for Concussion Impact testing dates, times and place. Please send a note to the elementary school allowing your child to walk over to the high school on this day, if the date occurs before November 18th. Students can be picked up by the wrestling room after the testing is completed.

Cadott Elementary Open Gym
When: Sundays from 6:15-7:30. First Sunday will be November 3.
Location: Elementary Gym
Who: Any Elementary Student and their Family
Please note that this open gym is NOT for middle school and high school students.
Community Monthly Playgroup Dates
Come join us monthly at the school for singing and playing and building relationships. (Ages 0-5)

PACE Book Winners
P.A.C.E. has provided the library funding to purchase books for a weekly drawing. Each week one student from these grade levels will receive a free paperback book: 4K-K, 1-2, 3-4 and 5-6. The books can be picked up in the library from Mrs. Mackie. If you know someone involved with P.A.C.E., please thank them for all they do for our students here at Cadott Elementary.
