Dear Families,

First and foremost, THANK YOU, for all of your support with our yearly fundraising event, our Fun Run. The kids had a ball getting to know Mojo and Trey, our Apex Leaders. Huge kuddos to our PTO for sponsoring this school wide event. Below are our final numbers!

This month we honor two fifth grade students for outstanding character. The first, Sam Mitchell, received the CFCU student of the year! award with a $50 check. The second, Cole Ryder, received the West Plains PACE award and will attend a special breakfast. Congratulations falcons!

Our PACE Character trait this month is courage. Here is a wonderful article by Karen Young on how to help your child be brave! She shares that, "Kids and teens are growing up in a world that is becoming increasingly competitive and comparative. It is easy to for them – for any of us – to believe that the ones who have found success or happiness are better than, stronger than, smarter than, or privy to something magical – certain strengths or qualities that are reserved for the lucky few. The truth is that none of us are born with the ‘success’ gene or the ‘happiness gene’. There are many things that lead to success and happiness, but one of the most powerful of these is courage".
