Dear Parents and Caregivers

I would like to start this newsletter thanking you for your support and understanding with the late notice to close our school. The Secretary of Education’s directive to close for physical onsite attendance was necessary in order for emergency services to work on fixing road infrastructure. However, this directive will be reviewed daily based on advice from NEMA and the roading situation. If the situation improves and the roads are cleared earlier than currently projected, schools may be able to open earlier than Tuesday, 7 February. We will keep you updated via our communication channels.

Staying Informed and Connected with FCI

To stay informed of all FCI news, please download our school app and join groups through ‘Alerts’, follow us on our official school Facebook page, or visit our website. We also regularly email information to the primary caregiver; if you are not receiving emails please contact the school office (enquiries@farmcove.school.nz) and check the email address we have on file. Alternatively, contact your child’s class teacher; email addresses are located on our website and app.

It is equally important we can get in contact with you when we need to. Please contact the office if your home address or phone number has changed.

This afternoon you should receive an email from your child’s Whānau teachers with important information pertinent to your child’s Area. You can also expect a phone call from your child’s homegroup teacher.
