What happened?
Colored student from universities and colleges sat down at Nashville lunch counters and didn't move unless they were served. Diane Nash was one of the students sitting at the lunch counters. When they didn't move, people
Who were there?
The people who were involved with the Nashville Sit-Ins were Diane Nash, Mayor-Ben West, Alexander Looby, James M. Lawson, students from universities and colleges.
Why did it happen ?
It happened because colored people had the same rights as whites. It also happened so that colored people were able to eat in restaurants just like white folks. Diane Nash felt that someone should stand up to them.
When did it happen?
It lasted from February 13 to May 10, 1960. This was the only time it happened from in Nashville,TN.
Where did it happen?
The sit-ins happened in Nashville,TN but also in other places throughout the south. Diane Nash was a very important person during the Nashville Sit-Ins.
