Attendance Line: 758-4083
Please call if your child will be late to school, absent, or leaving early.
Keep your children home if they are sick.
**Free at-home COVID tests are available. See the school nurse.
Physicals
All 7th graders and any 8th graders new to the Cortland School District are required to have a physical examination. If your child has already had one and you have sent a copy to the nurse, you are all set. If we have not received a completed health form, your child has been added to the group of school exams. School physicals are offered Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Hearing and near/distance vision screenings are required also for these students. If not recorded on the examination form by your child’s provider, they will be called down by the school nurse to complete these screenings.
Attention 8th graders
Looking ahead to next year and moving up to the Sr. High. Physicals are required for all students in 9th grade also. Please, submit a copy to the school nurse.

Since arriving in February, our students have worked on 2D/3D drawing, used 3D software, planned and participated in a team Career Fair project, had guest speakers, worked on using video and editing tools on their phones to film personal “professional” commercials, and will get to print something they’ve designed from the 3D printer.
As I was only a long-term sub (Feb to June), I’d like to thank each and every person who helped make my time here positive and encouraging. To the staff and students of CECSD, Mr. Williams says, “Thank you!”
