Team Meadow Summer Update
July 7, 2020
Good Afternoon, Team Meadow-
I hope you are doing well! I miss you all so much, but I’m trying my best to create space for rest and relaxation this summer. As July rolls on, you will begin seeing more communication regarding school matters and updates. The summer has been busy in preparation for school, and I’m sure you’ve seen a few glimpses of what is transpiring. Dr. Robison will be sending a great deal of information in the next few days, but in the meantime, I know that some of you have asked about re-entry into the building.
Per Dr. Robison’s email, tomorrow, July 8th, buildings will be available for access. If you are planning on entering the building at any time, please be sure to complete the following protocol:
- You are allowed to enter the building at your convenience. If you have sitters or family that allows you to come into the building on the weekend or during a late afternoon, it is optional for you to do so.
- Prior to entering the building, it is required that each individual completes the screener. I have attached the process information to this email. I’ve heard that some employees are strategically placing the QR code in an easy to see location to remind them each day they come to work. I’m thinking of placing a copy on my bathroom mirror or in my van so that I remember to complete it before I go to work in the morning. All this to say, please complete before you get in the building. I might strategically place a QR code somewhere near the front doors (inside) should any forget. You will no longer need to use the thermometer and sign off at school should you complete this process each day. It took me approximately 15 seconds to complete.
- When entering the building, you need to be wearing a mask. You may take the mask off when working in your room. Use social distancing guidelines whenever possible. In addition, you can bring adults with you to assist if needed. They must follow the same protocol as employee. Mask, temp, etc…
- One major goal at this time is to consider how we might maximize space in our classrooms. We will need to utilize distancing strategies throughout the building, and large personal items to need to be removed. If you have any non-essential personal items that take up lots of space which would prevent us from mitigating spread (example: couches, etc…) please remove. Fortunately, our staff has little to none of this in our building from when we worked on this a couple of years ago. By and large, I believe we will be in good shape in this regard.
- Please be mindful of summer projects and other construction needs. Summer cleaning is mostly finished (with a few ongoing projects). The former BAC/Preschool/computer lab is blocked and must remain undisturbed.
- It’s still summer! You don’t have to be at the school, but should you decide to be, I wanted you to be informed with the latest information. Remember, Scott will be providing more staff guidance on Friday.
Missing all of you,
Tom
