Enjoy your fall break! We return on Wednesday, November 3rd!

What a fun week we've had!

I'm sure your kids have come home talking about Mr. Rash and Mrs. Brackett kissing a pig! Or they may have told you about the teacher roller derby! Thanks to your generous donations to United Way, we celebrated BIG!

There was also a lot of fun had on Thursday with the costume parade and a movie! It felt good to laugh and enjoy to day with our students and one another.

Congrats to our Annual Halloween Writing Contest winner, Cort Elrod, 5th Grade, also known as Marty McFly! Cort wrote about Mr. Rash and Mrs. Brackett dressing as Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. Great job, Cort!

Enjoy the fall break with your families. We will see everyone back to school on Wednesday, November 3rd!

Field Day Changes

Due to our growth this year, we have made a couple of changes to Field Days. Please be sure your child wears tennis shoes and a North Pointe shirt! We are praying for great weather on these days!

Thursday, November 4

  • Kindergarten & 1st Grade 8:30-10:30
  • 2nd & 3rd Grade 11:30-1:30

Friday, November 5

  • 4th & 5th Grade 8:30-11:30

Check out these BUZZWORTHY students!

Ruth Wimberly, 5th Grade

A parent called the school to compliment Ruth on her outstanding job as a Safety Patroller in the mornings. Ruth helped her son get out of the car, called him by name, and was so friendly and helpful! Great job, Ruthie!

Chase Barnette, 2nd Grade

Mrs. Renner nominated Chase, reporting that he was at recess and noticed water bottles and a mask that were left in the middle of the playground. He threw the water bottles away and placed the mask on the sidewalk to be picked up later. Thank you, Chase, for help keeping our playground clean!

Kayleigh Partain, 4th Grade

Ms. Shumaker and Mrs. Hodges noticed that Kayleigh found a library book in the lost and found. She brought it to a teacher to be turned in! Thank you, Kayleigh, for taking care of our school property and probably preventing a student from paying a missing or late book fee!

Livvy Ritter, 3rd Grade

Mr. Coughenour wants to BUZZ Livvy for turning in two quarters at the ice cream chest recently. Instead of keeping it, she immediately gave it to the volunteer and told her she found it. Thank you for showing integrity and honesty, Livvy!

Aaron Beben, 2nd Grade

Mrs. Gibson is buzzing Aaron because he found a $20 bill in the hallway and turned it in to her! Way to go, Aaron! What a great example you are of a good citizen!

Jeremiah Culberson, 4th Grade (not pictured)

Mrs. Hayes is buzzing Jeremiah because he recently volunteered to work with a student who was absent and needed help catching up on a class project. He was a wonderful and kind partner to this student who is now caught up and ready to learn! Thanks for being a great friend, Jeremiah!

From Katie Curran, PTO President

Have you joined our PTO this year!? Your membership donation is simply a show of support! There are no strings attached in terms of attending meetings or volunteer requirements. If you’re feeling particularly generous, you can adopt a family to boost your child’s class’s chance at receiving an ICE CREAM PARTY! Yes, any class with 100% participation will receive an ice cream sundae treat. It’s only $12 per family and your donation goes a LONG way in supporting the teachers and staff at North Pointe. Simply click the link below to be directed to the membership link. Upon payment, a North Pointe PTO decal will be sent home to you via your child.

I can’t thank you all enough for your support this year! I hope to see many of you logged in to our Silent Auction LIVE kickoff on November 12 at 6:00 pm. As always, if you need anything or have ideas on how we can work together to better our school, please reach out!
