Opportunities in Asia
With our Partners and Alumni of VIA
Hello Alumni and Friends!
Our partners and friends of VIA have recently asked us to share two really cool opportunities with everyone.
The Pre-Collegiate Program of Yangon is currently looking for a Program Director to help manage office, admissions, and academic work for the organization. They are asking for an applicant with 3-5 year commitment who has a BA (graduate degree preferred), is fluent in English, and who has experience in management roles. For further info, click here. PCP works to send Myanmar nationals abroad to receive degrees at top-notch schools through an intensive 16 month academic and personal preparation program. They've been a partner of VIA's for many years and we currently have one fellow, Catherine Hendren, working with them this year.
The Lab is currently looking for an English Teaching and Community Engagement 1-Year Fellow to teach English and to help contribute and shape the community space at the Lab. Fellows will need to be a native English speaker, be comfortable with technology, and possess an interest in Vietnam and Vietnamese culture. For further info and requirements, click here. The Lab is located in Vung Tau, Vietnam and was opened in late 2015 by three VIA Alumni (Peter Nguyen, Selina Tran, and Marc Nguyen- Global Communities Fellows 2014-2015). It's a community space where students can learn English or come to create something new, be creative, or just hang out!
If you or someone you know would be interested in either of these opportunities, please consider applying and sharing!
