Dragon Pride
Lewisburg Area High School 2021-2022
Welcome Back!
Welcome to the (soon-to-be) start of another school year! I hope you have been enjoying your summer and have had some time to relax and regroup after the very challenging past fifteen months. Personally, I had to the opportunity to travel once again, cross Wrigley Field off of my bucket list and read lots of books. The slower pace during the summer was definitely needed but I always start missing kids in the building once August rolls around. I've loved seeing our students in for Band Camp and as they have stopped in for various things.
For those who don't know me, I grew up in Galeton, PA in Potter County, where the deer outnumber people. After earning my teaching degree from Bloomsburg University, I taught first and second grades at Kelly Elementary. My master's degree is from Bucknell in Educational Leadership and I began my administrative career at Linntown during the 2004-2005. While principal there, I also had the opportunity to serve as the District coordinator for ESL services and was also the Supervisor for Instructional Technology K-12. During the implementation of our 1:1 initiative, I spent much time at the high school and discovered a passion for working with students in this age group. In 2015, I was thrilled to become the principal at LAHS. To work with such exceptional staff and students each day is truly a privilege.
As we move closer to the first day of school, I wanted to reach out to provide some timely information about the new year. Details of the protocol for masking is listed on the main website in the Health and Safety Plan and will be revisited at the August 12th Board Meeting. There will be additional information that will be sent out to you regarding this prior to the first student day.
We recently switched website vendors and are in the process of updating the pages. Principals just received the ability to make and edit pages this week. Thank you for being patient as we update and populate the pages. Enjoy these last few days of summer. We are looking forward to seeing the students again soon!
Fondly,
Paula Reber
LAHS Principal

New Student Tours
Student Schedules
If all of a student's requests were not filled, it was because the course was unable to fit with other classes requested or required, or because the course/section was full.
Students may fill out a schedule change request form through the first cycle of the school year. In most cases, this will require students to make choices among electives or prioritize if they have chosen multiple courses in one subject area. The form will be made available to students on the LAHS Student Canvas Page or via student email beginning August 12th.
Requests will be addressed in the following order:
Seniors
Grade Level Requirements/Graduation Requirements
Electives
Schedule changes will not be made to change teachers, sections, or other logistical pieces. The school may also make changes to balance class sizes. Please also be patient as it may take the first few days of school to address schedule changes.
2021-2022 Block Scheduling
We have put a sample schedule below for your reference. S1 refers to Semester 1 and S2 Refers to Semester 2. The advisor is listed in periods 9 and any special programs such as Senior Service, BU Classes, etc are listed in periods 9 or 10. Counselors will work with students to determine the best time within their schedules for them to take place. Lunches occur during periods 5-6. There are three lunch periods. Classes are scheduled to eat at the beginning of the block, mid-way through, or at the end. This information will be shared with students on the first day
Also below, please find a copy of our typical bell schedule. During the first three days of school, we will be running a slightly different schedule with Flex first thing so various back-to-school information is conveyed and shared with students.
Parking
Students who wish to park on campus must complete our parking form. (See link below). It is important that we have accurate information for safety and security. Students may begin to pick up parking hangers in the main office beginning on August 10th. Parking passes are available throughout the year. Students should only fill out passes once they have their licenses. The form will be available all year so students will be able to complete it at a later time.
