Principal's Paragraphs
Hello Belair Bulldogs!
It's the most wonderful time of the year! Did you know your generosity from Coins for a Cause, PTA, Oasis United Church of Christ, and our Belair Girl Scout Troop helped us adopt 24 Belair kids for Christmas! Thank you so much!
We are officially half way through our school year! WOW! Keep your child's progress moving forward over break by spending a little bit of time each day reading and practicing math facts! If you spend 20-30 minutes each day of break, you will be ready to rock 2019!
Good attendance plays a big role in student success. When students arrive late, leave early, or miss days due to reasons other than illness, it can impact their learning. Our goal is an attendance rate of over 90% for all students. Our current attendance rate is 93.8%. With that in mind, if your child has a fever, vomits, or has diarrhea, our district policy is that they are to stay home symptom-free without medicine for 24 hours. Help keep our students and teachers from getting sick!
Please remember safety is our top priority at arrival and dismissal times! Our policies are not to punish or make things hard, it's to keep everyone safe! Remember, the drop off line is a single file line. Do not pull around any cars - wait patiently to leave. When possible, students should exit the car on the passenger side. If a parent needs to help a child with items, please park in a parking spot instead of parking in the drop off-line. In the morning, the drop off line is always moving. At dismissal, you must have your yellow car rider cards to pick up in the car rider line. Walkers leaving as walkers will not be allowed to get into a car. Any changes of transportation need to be made either in writing or by phone prior to 3:00 of that school day.
Have a wonderful break with your families!
