Message from the Principal
We are so excited for the First day of School on Monday, August 8th! As Principal, I want to welcome everyone back to the 2022-2023 school year! We are excited to get back into another school year and have all of our students back in our school filled with energy and enthusiasm for learning. Our teachers and staff have been working hard and participating in trainings/Professional development all summer long. We strive to be life long learners in order to benefit our student leaders!
Here at Roy Cisneros, we continue to implement the International Baccalaureate program school-wide. We are also excited to be all boys in Kinder-3rd grades and 6th grade. We will still be co-ed (girls and boys) in 4th and 5th grades. While implementing IB, we have our mission at the forefront of everything we do, which is that we are empowering and nurturing confident leaders that are prepared to interact with a diverse global community; approaching the world with voice, choice and ownership.
Additionally, we will continue to partner with YOU- our parents, students, community, and teachers together by keeping open communication and providing engaging activities throughout the year to facilitate our students into becoming leaders.
I am honored to continue to serve as your Principal at Roy Cisneros where you can expect nothing less than the best. On behalf of the teachers and staff we would like to thank you for making Roy Cisneros your school of choice.
As we get into a new school year, I will continue to update this newsletter with new information as we get closer to Monday, August 8th! Please also stay informed by checking our social media (Facebook and Twitter) pages! You may also check out our website at: roycisneros.eisd.net.
Please remember that school starts at 7:45 am and ends at 3:30 pm.

First Day of School- Monday, August 8th at 7:45 am
Meet the Teacher Night- Friday, August 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm
- Kinder, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders will be picked up in car lane in the back of the school on Arbor Place. Please make sure you stay in your vehicle at all times.
- 4th, 5th and 6th graders will be picked up in the car lane in the front of the school, where the covered canopy is located.
Please display a Cisneros car pick up sign on the vehicle’s front dashboard. A car pick up sign displayed on the vehicle’s dashboard implies parental consent for the student(s) to be released to the driver. Children waiting in the car line area will be released to your car. Please stay in your car, have your door unlocked and please pull up when the line moves. Students will enter the car through the door closest to the sidewalk; they cannot run around to the other side. Adults picking up a child in the car line are to remain in their vehicle at all times.
In the event that a car rider student must be signed out from the main lobby, the adult must be either a custodial parent or a legal guardian. **If you do not have a car pick up sign, then you will need to park, go to the front office, show ID, and pick up a new sign.
Parent Walk Up:
- In order to significantly reduce congestion and traffic for the safety and security of our students. We are urging everyone to please remain in cars and use our car line. Therefore, parking and walking up to get your child, you will do so in the Library/side door of the school. Please park in the front parking lot and use the crosswalk to carefully walk through the cars.
- Please remember to pick up your child by 3:45 p.m. on regular dismissal days. Thank you!
