Congratulations to Mr Davisson and Ms Hrubik for being recognized at the Celebration of Excellence.

Ms Hrubik represented LMS as a district finalist for Teacher of the Year. Mr Davisson was celebrated for his many years of teaching for Norman and retirement.

Spring Pictures and PRIDE card pictures for 2018-2019 on Friday!

Oklahoma Pictures will be on campus taking pictures for the 2018- 2019 PRIDE cards and spring pictures. Information on spring packages is going home with students on Monday.

Senior recognition day at LMS!

Any former LMS students that are graduation this year are invited to a come and go reception at LMS in the library on May 8 from 4:50- 6:00.

Close Out Procedures for the End of the School Year

Close Out Steps for Academic Year:


  • If you are leaving the district at the end of this school year and not returning to Norman Public Schools next August 2018, we are checking with your school sites to see about early check in of devices prior to finals week.

    • The Help Desk Team will accept the MacBook Devices reviewing for damage and helping you to remove your covers that you may have purchased.

    • They will check in both cords that were provided to you in addition to checking in your MacBook.


  • For students who find out after the last day of school in May 2018 that they will not be returning to Norman Public Schools in August 2018, please return your device and cords to your respective school site or Technology Services Center at 4100 N. Flood Ave.

    • The Help Desk Team will accept the MacBook Devices reviewing for damage and helping you to remove your covers that you may have purchased.

    • They will check in both cords that were provided to you in addition to checking in your MacBook.


  • During the first three school weeks of May, for students who are planning on returning to the district next year.

    • Please check in with the Help Desk at your school site so we can review the devices for any potential damage, allowing us to repair during the early part of summer 2018 and returning the device to you promptly.

    • You will have the opportunity to keep the device over the summer.


  • Summertime Updates.

    • Upgrades to the devices will happen during the summer months. When these updates push out, please keep the device plugged into power and connected to the internet, so that the updates will continue to work properly for you.

    • If you have repairs that are needed, please contact the Help Desk at your respective school site to get your device repaired.

    • If your device is lost or stolen during the summer, please contact the help desk at your respective school site to report the loss.

  • Interested in Purchasing a MacBook Air.

    • In working with our partners at Apple, please see following link - Apple Education Pricing. This will provide you an option to purchase a comparable MacBook Air to what you have been using in your current studies.

    • Our current MacBook being used by students is a MacBook Air model A1466.


  • Email and Drive Items

    • If you are preparing to leave the district and not return in August 2018, you may have items in your drive and gmail that you would like to be able to access in the future. Please plan on copying these items out of email and or drive, as your account will be inactivated thirty (30) days after you leave the district.

Tdohasan Sunray placed 1st at the language fair in the modern song category for 6th-8th grades rapping in Choctaw on April 3 for the OU Language Fair.

  • Sybil Fuqua, 8th grader, was awarded 4th place in the Norman Public Library poetry contest for her poem, "I'd Sit." She was in the middle school division and Mrs. Reed is her Language Arts teacher.
