Summary
A boy named Zack Granger whose real name is Jack Osborne is forced to join the Witness Security Program because his father is in jail now for smuggling drugs. Now, the constructor of the drug heist, Alfonso, is out trying to capture Zach and his family so they moved to Elko, Nevada. They made a new life there and made new friends like Sam the school custodian. Alfonso eventually figured out where they lived and took his men and went out there but luckily Zach and his friends figured out a way to stop the bad guys and stay safe.

When Sam figured out that Zach was part of the Witness protection, he kept telling him to remember the number 8 and so he did and it came useful in the end of the book.
