A boy named Zack Granger whose real name is Jack Osborne is forced to join the Witness Security Program because his father is in jail now for smuggling drugs. Now, the constructor of the drug heist, Alfonso, is out trying to capture Zach and his family so they moved to Elko, Nevada. They made a new life there and made new friends like Sam the school custodian. Alfonso eventually figured out where they lived and took his men and went out there but luckily Zach and his friends figured out a way to stop the bad guys and stay safe.

Which characters play important roles that relate to the overall theme?

Zach (Jack)-was the main character and is the reason why Alonzo want to find him so much

Sam-without sam Zach wouldn't have been safe and Alonzo would have gotten what he wanted

Alonzo-if he didn't want Zach's key so badly he would have gone to Elko to find them

If this book is a part of a series, can you provide more information about the series?

Was the ending satisfactory (for fiction)? Why or why not?

Yes, because it was very unpredictable and very satisfying.

Did you notice reoccurring symbols? What were they?

When Sam figured out that Zach was part of the Witness protection, he kept telling him to remember the number 8 and so he did and it came useful in the end of the book.
