About Benjamin Chambers

Benjamin Chambers was born in Pennsylvania in the year 1749. His parents were James Chamers and Sarah Lee. Benjamin Chambers later on in his life served in the Revolutionary War. On January 3, 1776, he was commisioned Ensign of the First Company of Col. William Smallwood's battalion of the Maryland militia and under Captain John Hoskins Stone. Benjamin Chambers helped the next 5 months helping, training, and organizing Smallwood's battalion.
