Bright Star Behavior ~ Kindness
And the winner is... DOG MAN!
Bright Star Behavior Assembly ~ March
On Friday, 3/8, our Character Education Committee held our monthly Bright Star Behavior Assembly. March’s assembly recognized individual students for acts of kindness throughout February and taught our trait of the month, empathy. Empathy is being portrayed to our young learners as “taking a walk in someone else’s shoes.” The students worked together to analyze facial expressions and determine why they were feeling that way. The students will be encouraged to demonstrate empathy throughout the month of March
Here is a link to an article in Today's Parent that provides tips to teaching children empathy.
