Principal's Message
I hope you are all in good health! As you are all aware by now the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education of the State of Massachusetts has called for a full in-person return for all students K-5 by Monday April 5th. At this time we don't have 'Barbieri' specific details to share but urge all of our families to complete the survey sent by the district yesterday. Having accurate information regarding the return will be critical to our planning. Barbieri administrators and coaches met briefly yesterday to begin to think about how this return will shift instruction and the day-to-day operations of our school. Please read Dr. Tremblay's message to obtain more information regarding the first steps the district is taking to plan for this return.
On Thursday afternoon our teachers engaged in thoughtful and meaningful conversations regarding concurrent teaching during our professional development session. It was a space for sharing experiences, providing feedback and ideas and creating! BARBIERI TEACHERS ARE COMMITTED TO YOUR CHILDREN and continue to explore new ways to reach our students during these extremely challenging times. A special shout out to our ENTIRE BARBIERI FAMILY (Staff) for having the courage to share about all of their experiences and learning from one another! We thank all of our families for all of their continuous support and encouragement!
As always please reach out to us with any questions and we will answer them as best as we can!
Que tengan un buen fin de semana,
Maria

MARCH DISTRIBUTION DAY
March Distribution Day will take place on Friday, March 26th. At this point, we are recommending that bags are assembled for REMOTE STUDENTS only. Student in cohorts A/S and B/S who are attending school in-person will receive items when they are in-person learning at school. This will be helpful to our families and grade level teams as the number of bags being assembled will decrease, and our families will not have to come to school to retrieve items, instead students will bring them home.
Due to students being in school during distribution day our hours have shifted.
11:00AM-1:30PM, all grades
4:00PM-6:00PM, all grades
As always if you are not able to retrieve a learning bag during the hours above please call the main office to schedule pick up for a different day/time.
