Team Tui - Pushing the Healthy food boundaries!
Team Tui want to challenge ourselves to try new healthy foods. This week Jesse from Room 13 bought in a Bok Choy plant and we each tried some. There was a lot of excitement over trying something new and many students enjoyed the flavour after trying it for the first time.
If anyone has any excess produce in their gardens that they would be happy to part with, please contact Team Tui Teachers.
Gumboot Friday Fundraiser
Thank you to all of our wonderful students and staff who contributed to this very worthy fundraiser today and/or donned gumboots to walk a day in their shoes. We raised $153.00.
Every dollar you have contributed to Gumboot Friday opens doors for young Kiwis in need. With the average counselling session costing about $140, your support is a lifeline for those facing the toughest battles.
Congratulations to the Winning Gumboot designs - Isabel Handley, Jesse Sutherland, Belle Winders and Ariana Parker.

Safety of our children - walking, biking or scootering to school
If your child is walking, biking or scootering to school on a footpath, it would be timely to remind them to watch out for cars reversing or coming out of driveways. It is extremely hard for someone in a car (even if they are being very cautious) to see a child who is speeding down the footpath. Before they know it, they are behind the vehicle.
Rueben the Safety Bear says.. On every trip, when using the footpath,.look out for Sneaky Driveways. You can check out more from Rueben by watching the video below
Waihou Junior touch draw - POSTPONED UNTIL SUNDAY - 4PM START
Please check the Waihou Junior Touch Facebook page!!! All games will be brought forward an hour!!
Busy week this week with lots of games.
Rubbish was again left on the field last week - please make sure you take away what you bring to the fields. Also check the lost property inside the door of the club rooms.
Please make sure we are supporting our young referees and refraining from making hurtful comments...they are only learning this new skill and will make mistakes. They are to be commended for getting out there and giving it a go!!
