Computer Lab

New headphones have arrived for the computer lab!

Please teach students proper care and treatment of the headphones so that they will last. We do not have spare sets to replace ones that get damaged.

Headphones should be plugged into the port on the left side of the speaker that is attached to the underside of the monitor. When classes leave the computer lab, monitors should be returned to the lowest position and headphones should be hung behind the monitor, not left sitting on the desk.

Even if the computer lab is not neat when you arrive, classes should always strive to leave the space neater than you found it and ready for the next class.

Thank you for helping to take care of this communal instructional space!

Discovery Education: TechBooks

When Discovery Education started the subscription to the Science TechBooks for our 5th, 7th, and 8th grade students and teachers, there was a glitch in the system and all students and teachers from K through 8th grade had access to them. That problem has now been fixed and once again only our 5th, 7th, and 8th grade students and teachers have access to the Science TechBooks. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Tech Tip: Code.org

It is coding week. Due to Book Fair, this has been delayed until next week for our 2nd-5th graders. They will do coding exercises in library lessons. In the meantime, Code.org has simple lesson plans and games that teach children problem solving skills and coding techniques.

I promise this will make you smile . . . .
