Hazel Green NJROTC defeats William Floyd NJROTC
Shooting their highest score of the season, Hazel Green NJROTC defeated William Floyd NJROTC 979 to 939 last week in the National Air Rifle League. This was the team's third win in a row. With the win, Hazel Green NJROTC is in eighth place within their Navy JROTC conference. They currently have a 3 - 1 record. Hazel Green NJROTC was led by Jacob Harris who shot a 259. The remaining contributing members were Cameron Hayes, Colin Kelley, and Corbynn Conway. The team is coached by Larry Schultz.
Theatre Students Qualify for State
Congratulations to Grace Maddox and Xandi Hayes! Their Trumbauer performance earned them the opportunity to compete at state.

HG Theatre Prepares for Upcoming Shows
Theatre 1 students are working on their Christmas Showcase. They will perform "Twas the Opening Night Before Christmas" and "Ho Ho Ho! The Santa Claus Chronicles" on December 10th at 6 p.m. in the Black Box. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults.

Current Announcements
HGHS Working College & Career Fair: The HGHS College & Career Fair will take place next Tuesday, November 5, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thirty-five organizations, including universities, community colleges, trade schools, and employers, will be on campus to meet with students. Seniors will apply to at least one organization. Free transcripts will be provided. Laptops will be available for students to use to apply. Eleven of these organizations will waive their application fee for seniors who apply at the event. We are looking forward to seeing where our seniors apply!
Mock Election & Voter Registration Drive: The Mock Election and Voter Registration Drive is November 5th at HGHS.
FTA: There will be a mandatory Future Teachers of Alabama meeting Wednesday, November 6, at 8 a.m.
Tennis Tryouts: Tennis tryouts for boys will be November 6th and November 7th for girls. Tryouts begin at the HGHS courts at 4:00 both days. A complete physical will need to be brought to tryouts by each participant.
Senior Quotes & Who's Who: Senior quotes and Who's Who nominations must be submitted by Friday, November 8.

Online Application for Free/Reduced Meals: Online free and reduced meal applications are available at the link below for a faster, more confidential way to apply. A new application must be completed each school year to qualify for free or reduced meals. Your child's eligibility status carries over to the new school year for the first 30 school days, allowing parents time to re-apply. Only one application per household should be submitted, and everyone living in the house must be included on the application.
