ELLPs - Forward Progress!
Things to remember:
- Use Firefox or Internet Explorer. Keep your browser open, and click "save". This will automatically save your entry in IC.
- To open an existing ELLP, click on the form, and then click "open".
- You may still create group goals.
- You may cut and paste within the documents and from IC to the form.
- You will only need to complete the Student Information form one time. From year to year, you will need to update the Accommodations (after creating a copy of the Student Information page).
- Please complete your ELLPs as soon as possible. We are accountable for ELs' accommodations, and this needs to be documented appropriately for standardized assessment and instructional assessment. The ELLP is your evidence for documenting accommodations for ELs.
- Obtain one parent/guardian signature per year for each student's ELLP.
- If you need help, please ask!!
ACCESS 2.0 is Around the Corner!
The ACCESS 2.0 testing window for Colorado school districts is January 11 - February 12, 2016.
As the School Test Coordinator, you are responsible for submitting your ACCESS orders by TOMORROW October 28th to Remy Rummel. Here is the link to the order form if you have not already placed it. You are REQUIRED to place an order for your online and paper forms. Please follow the directions on the form as it will guide you through the process.
Our ELD Department Think Tank on December 9, 2015 will focus completely on ACCESS 2.0. School ACCESS Coordinators (ESL Teachers and ELD Charter Contacts) are required to attend. You do not need to bring your team.
Support Sessions
The following drop-in support sessions have been scheduled for all ACCESS Test Administrators to complete ACCESS 2.0 training/checklists. These are NOT mandatory; however they are great opportunities to complete the required online training and obtain clarification.
November 10 9:00-1:00 Early Childhood Center South
November 17 12:00-3:00 Early Childhood Center South
November 30 9:00-12:00 WSC Telluride Room
December 7 9:00-12:00 WSC MT. Evans Room
Coming soon!
You will soon receive an ACCESS 2.0 AMS log-in. This will allow you to mark the appropriate accommodations for ELs with an IEP, create testing sessions, and upload new ELs' data. Please look for this log-in over the next week. If you do not receive it by Friday, November 6, 2015, please let Remy Rummel know. (Just fyi - CDE will upload all current ELs into WIDA AMS. This is GREAT news for us!)
Your Current To Do List:
- Log-in to your account and begin to complete the training modules relevant to the tests you will administer. You must complete the Test Administrator Checklist for the online version of ACCESS 2.0.
- If you will administer the paper version for any of your students, you will need to complete the ACCESS 2.0 paper training.
- If you will administer Alternate ACCESS, you must complete the training module.
- If you will administer the Kindergarten ACCESS, you must complete the training module.
