Blanco High School Panther Prowler

Week Ending September 10th

Principals Corner

What a week! I am so glad to be back at school even if it is for just Friday! I missed our students and staff.

Our students are in the middle of MAP testing in their English classes and their Math classes. Not every English and Math class is taking them but they are tests designed to give us some data and an idea of where they might be in comparison with students in the same classes and grades around Texas and the nation. This will give us a better idea of where we can focus our efforts to make sure they are learning everything they can this year. They will take a similar test towards the end of the school year to gauge how well they did this year.

We will be hosting our school pictures next Wednesday, September 15th. These will be the first opportunity to have pictures made for the yearbook and they will be set up in the gym. This is for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors as Seniors' photos for the yearbook are a different company and time. There will be a chance for retakes in October for anyone who misses next Wednesday.

Senior Transcripts

We apologize for the delay but the senior transcripts are now ready if you need them sent out for college applications and/or scholarships. This is the first time we have recalculated them at the beginning of the year but we had some higher GPA students graduate early this summer so we wanted to make sure we got everything right and all students are ranked appropriately for their applications. Big thanks need to go out to Lisa Petri and DeeAnna McClendon for their tireless work to get it right and updated in our system!
