Busy Week!
Make sure you read all of the information!!!
Clipping
We only will be clipping the heads so it will be much faster!
Feb 13th starting at 5pm
Be ready to bathe and dry pig before clipping
Trailer Clean-out
Meet at the barn at 5pm on Wednesday, Feb 13th. (Mandatory)
This will be at the same time as clipping!
You will also be given your gate passes and parking stickers at this time!
Feeding:
MAKE SURE you have enough feed to get you through the entire week we are there!
What to Bring:
- Show Clothes for 1 day
- Pig feed (loaded onto trailer)
- Whip
- Trough (loaded onto trailer)
- Feed panel (loaded onto trailer)
- Dividers (loaded onto trailer)
- Brushes
- Oil
- Towels
- Shampoo
- Chair
- Any school work you can get before (light wave)

Schedule (Dark Wave):
Friday, February 15th:
All students are expected to go to school. *THREE TIMES A DAY FEEDINGS BEGIN: Leave Ziploc baggie with 2nd feeding on shelf
- 1:45 – Ben and Natalie will feed all dark pigs 2nd feeding
- 2:00 – Ben and Natalie load pigs to leave approximately 2:30. Weigh pig as you load
- Pigs will be fed the 3rd feeding upon arrival in San Antonio. Pigs will first arrive at the teacher hotel, then move to the LONG line.
Saturday, February 16th: (Families are expected to help with unloading Saturday morning)
- 10 PM (Friday) – 7 AM – Arrival of pigs in trailer line
- 1 AM – Unloading begins (Last year our time was around 4 AM. A text will be sent out giving approximately an hour warning. Parents/student should go straight to the showgrounds for the pen set-up / unloading process.)
- 7 AM – 2 PM – Check in pigs
- *After evening feeding we will bathe pigs that will show on Sunday.
Sunday, February 17th:
- 7 AM – Berkshire (Natalie), Spot (Callie & Eliza), Hampshire Show
*You are released once you show.
**Whoever shows last, please be prepared to help load all tack/equipment in the truck.
Monday, February 18th: – Student Holiday
- 7 AM – Duroc, Poland, Dark Cross Show (Ben)
*You are released once you show.

Tuesday, February 19th
- All students are expected to go to school all week
Friday, February 22nd:
- 3:00 PM – Barrow (both light & dark) Auction – If anyone qualifies for the auction we will discuss plans at that time.
Schedule (Light Wave):
Monday, February 18th: – Student Holiday
- 7:15 AM – THREE TIMES A DAY FEEDINGS BEGIN: Feed 1st feeding
- 12 PM – Give 2nd feeding & load on trailer with assistance of Mr. Molina (Weigh all pigs when loading & text weight to Mr. Webster)
- Pigs will be fed the 3rd feeding upon arrival in San Antonio. Pigs will first arrive at the teacher hotel, then move to the LONG line.

Thursday, February 21st:
- 7 AM – Light Crosses (Anthony, Chris, Bekah) (*Last year this was pigs weighing 241-280)
- *You are released once you show.
- **Whoever shows last, please be prepared to help load all tack/equipment in the truck.
Friday, February 22nd:
- All students are expected to go to school, unless they are in the last class on Thursday.
- 3:00 PM – Barrow (both light & dark) Auction – If anyone qualifies for the auction we will discuss plans at that time.
Things to Remember:
- I CANNOT provide times for your student/animal to show. Even approximate times are difficult to gauge. Typically, classes will last 30-45 minutes in length.
- While at the show, my #1 concern is your animal – therefore, your #1 concern while at the show is also your animal. Once all animals are taken care of, then we can eat, go to the hotel, walk around the show grounds, etc.
- Each meeting time (for feeding, walking, rinsing, etc.) will be set as it happens, I will communicate this with you each time I see you or through Remind text messages.
- Parents at the show – you will be expected to provide transportation for your student the entire time.

- From I-35 South, Exit Loop 410 South, Exit W.W. White Road, turn right on Gembler Road and left on AT&T Center Parkway (formerly Coliseum Road) to the AT&T Center
- From I-35 South, Exit Loop 410 South, Exit I-10 West, and Exit Houston and turn right on Houston Street to the AT&T Center
- From I-35 South, Exit AT&T Center Parkway (formerly Coliseum Road) and turn left on SBC Center Parkway toward the AT&T Center
