Upcoming and Continuing Units of Study
Students have explored similes, metaphors, idioms, sentence structure and commas. We will be starting work on Expository Writing next week.
Students are working on Spelling Sort #21 this week, which will be tested on Wed. October 19th. Our new word list is attached below for the 2nd nine weeks.
We will be continuing our unit with rounding, adding, and subtracting decimals. The test is scheduled for next week as well. The study guide is attached and students will receive a hard copy. Your child's math teacher will inform your child of the testing date for their class. We will then be supporting the PBL project in science with budgeting for their dog. The new Math Resource Round-Up is included and linked below.
For this Science unit, we will utilize Project Based Learning (PBL) to better our understanding inherited and acquired traits. Look for more information that went home this week regarding our "Bark in the Park" event. Please note that we will be using a lot of technology during this unit.
