The Traveller-Heart
By Vachel Lindsay
Made by Aidan Delfuoco
See inside the mind of a traveller and experience the sights, the sounds, and the tastes. Lindsay takes you on a journey to a fantastical place, does it exist? Who knows, but it will be enjoyable nonetheless. The poem is seven stanzas and tells the story of a traveller, witnessing many things. The traveller experiences lavish forests, and deep dark gloom. And perhaps at the end, is looking back on his life, reminiscing for the past.
"Fruit of the traveller-heart of me,
Fruit of my harvest-songs long sped:
Sweet with the life of my sunburned days
When the sheaves were ripe, and the apples red."
This is an excellent poem, and tells a story better than many others I have read.
