Cardington Elementary School
Home of the Pirates!
Counselor's Corner
Welcome back, Pirate Families!! I hope you had a nice and relaxing summer.
My name is Paige Riebel and I am the new Guidance Counselor here at Cardington-
Lincoln Elementary. I was born and raised in Delaware, Ohio and am so glad to now
call Cardington part of my story. Student advocacy, wellness, and success are what I
hope to bring to our students here at Cardington-Lincoln Elementary. I am eager to
watch us all grow together and individually as a school family during this 2022-
2023 school year.
Though this is my first year as a school counselor, I am very excited to immerse
myself into this role: supporting the success of students through academic, social,
emotional, and career guidance, as well as helping families in any way I can and
making connections with important community resources.
This year we will continue with the theme of positivity throughout the building. Our
PBIS systems will remain in place, including the famous Pirate Bucks to be
redeemed in the Pirate Shop. I will be in the 1-4 classrooms conducting prevention
lessons each week, lunch bunches and group sessions will be held regarding various
topics, and individual counseling will be conducted as needed.
I am looking forward to an exciting and successful school year! Please do not
hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have about your
child. You can reach me by phone at (419) 864- 3691 ext. 2004, or by email at

Best regards,
Ms. Riebel
Bountiful Backpacks
Dear Families,
St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall) is once again offering a wonderful
opportunity for our Cardington-Lincoln Elementary families- the Bountiful
Backpacks program. This program provides nonperishable meals for our
students to take home for the weekend, free of cost, and we would like to extend
this opportunity to you.
How it works:
- The church buys and provides the food items, and then packs them in a
bag for each family.
- A volunteer will deliver the bags to the school.
- Ms. Riebel (Guidance) will distribute the bags to students at the end of the
day on Fridays UNLESS:
-Your student is a preschooler (These will be sent home on
Thursdays.)
-There are several bags to take home (They will be handed out on
both Thursday and Friday to help your student better manage the
load.)
The program will tentatively start on Friday, September 24 th and run for the
rest of the school year if your family so desires.
If during the school year you find that you no longer need the assistance
of the program, please let me know and we will remove your family from
the list.
If you are interested in this opportunity, please fill out the information on the
following page and send it back with your student by Tuesday, September 13 th .
Please feel free to contact me by phone at (419) 864-6692, ext. 2004, or via
email at paige.riebel@cardington.k12.oh.us with any questions or concerns you
may have.
We are excited to offer this program through St. John Lutheran Church to benefit
the families in our Cardington community!
