MISSION

At Colleyville Elementary School we, along with families and community members, are committed to providing a nurturing environment. All children will be challenged and prepared to become skilled problem solvers, effective communicators, collaborators, self-regulated learners and global citizens. Focusing on the whole child, we are also dedicated to fostering confident and compassionate members of society.

VISION

Colleyville Elementary School provides a nurturing and challenging environment that empowers students to discover their authentic selves and become effective and innovative contributors to society.

CES 1:1 Take Home Initiative Update

GCISD Determining Community Interest In Tuition-Based Pre-K

In an effort to continually serve the families of Grapevine-Colleyville ISD, the district is investigating the feasibility of a tuition-based Pre-K program, beginning in the Fall of 2016. Those families who have a child who will be four-years old, on or before September 1, 2016, may participate in the program, depending on community interest.

As with any of the district’s special programs, families must enter into a lottery to be selected. If there is enough interest in the tuition-based program, then the lottery will be held for spots at pre-determined campuses. The proposed site locations are Bear Creek Elementary, Bransford Elementary, Colleyville Elementary and OC Taylor Elementary. These campuses were selected based on current and projected student enrollment and building capacity.

Families who are interested in learning more about the tuition-based Pre-K program are invited to attend the GCISD Special Programs Expo on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Cross Timbers Middle School at 6 p.m. At the Expo, district representatives will be available to answer questions about the proposed program. If you would like more information about the proposed tuition-based Pre-K program, click here.

GCISD Special Programs EXPO

From engineering challenges to advanced academics to language immersion and early childhood education, GCISD offers a world of opportunities for students. Families are invited to learn more about these opportunities at the Special Programs Expo on Tuesday, February 16 from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. at Cross Timbers Middle School. The expo will feature stations showcasing our STEM programs, ASPIRE Academy and Dual Language programs. New to the Expo this year, families may also learn about the proposed tuition-based Pre-Kindergarten program, iUniversity Prep and Collegiate Academy. In addition to program stations, presentations focusing on the instructional components and benefits of these programs will be delivered in the lecture hall and Student Activity Center (SAC).

❤️ Dear Amazing CES Families ❤️,
With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we would like to invite everyone to help us show our love to the Union Gospel Mission Homeless Shelter of Fort Worth.

February 1st-10th, we will be having a classroom competition to see which class can collect the most socks to donate to the shelter. Each class will have a designated donation box and will be collecting new, men’s socks of any size or color.

Mrs. Shimmick will announce the winner of the "Biggest Heart Award” the morning of our Valentine’s parties. The students in that class will be sent home with a special treat the following week.

So...Get ready to knock the socks off your competition and help us show our warm hearts by helping others' cold feet ❤️ !

PTA Fundraising Opportunity:

Parents and friends of Colleyville Elementary,

Please help PTA fundraise by answering surveys on Centiment.

We are hosting a fundraiser on a new mobile friendly website called Centiment. Centiment enables our fundraising participants to utilize a smart phone, tablet, or PC to answer surveys from everyday brands that want feedback, such as Coke or Ford Motors. Your responses to these surveys are reported back on an anonymous basis, your personal information (name, email, etc) are never shared with the brands researching. For every survey you answer, Colleyville Elementary receives a payment. You can directly access our fundraiser through the link below or by going to centiment.co, signing up, and selecting Colleyville Elementary.

MORE DETAIL...

HELP US SPREAD THE WORD

We need your help in getting the word out. Once you log in, please use the 'Invite Supporters' function in the menu bar to text a link to the fundraiser to friends and family or post a link on Facebook with a message. Anyone who enters through one of these links becomes your 'supporter' and adds to your total contributions on the Rankings page.

WIN CASH PRIZES

While the primary goal is to raise money for the school, you can also win a cash prize for yourself. 30 days into the fundraiser, the top 3 ranked people will receive cash prizes.

BE PERSISTENT

When you first begin answering surveys you may become disqualified often. This is because Centiment does not have any information about you in order to send you the most appropriate surveys. As you attempt more surveys, your privacy protected profile is built out and you will begin to qualify for more surveys.

Thank you - your participation is greatly appreciated!
