Pirate Points from Mrs. Lee's Class

Welcome Back!

It sounds like all of the kids had a great, relaxing holiday filled with lots of fun experiences. It was so good to see all twenty smiling faces on Monday morning! We are back in the swing of things. Just a few reminders...please continue to listen to your child read and practice words at home. You will notice the text of the books your child is bringing home will gradually get more difficult in upcoming months. It is so important that the kids have multiple opportunities to read these books for fluency and comprehension. I want everyone to be prepared for 2nd grade!

Our Night Tree

We had a wonderful time decorating an area of our entrance as our "Night Tree". Thanks for sending in the supplies....the kids and animals appreciate it!

Daddy/Daughter Dance

Our Student Council will be having the 2nd Annual Daddy/Daughter Dance on Friday, February 7th in the cafeteria.
Tickets for the Daddy/Daughter Dance will go on sale next Monday, January 13 and will remain on sale until January 16. Tickets can be bought before school (7:10-7:40) outside of the cafeteria. Money cannot be accepted at any other times.

  • Writing Workshop- where to find information to include in informational text, researching information, writing non-fiction books
